I came on the grand opening to see the hype but also because they got me with the buy one get one. What can I say, I'm a sucker for deals. My overall experience was pretty decent besides the long wait, but hey, it was the opening day and there were deals to be had so I don't blame them for the wait.
I got the jasmine milk tea with boba (80% sweetness) and for my free drink, I got the pearl milk tea. I ended up getting another drink (grass jelly milk tea) as well because a friend of mine had an appointment and couldn't wait the 20 min for his drink.
The jasmine milk tea was right on it. You got that nice floral scent and flavor from the tea and it was a good even mix of tea to milk/cream. The real star is the boba. It's chewy and soft unlike some places where they overcook the boba to the point that it's mushy.
There's a lot of seating designed that is great for when you go just by yourself or if you come with a big group. They also went for that Scandinavian lagom style but then again, a lot of the furniture is from Ikea which makes sense as to why it's reminiscent of your classic Nordic dining room.
This looks like a pretty decent place to study with the amount of space, so I'll have come back some time to get some work done!
I don't consider myself an expert in boba because I mean, who really is? I just go off my years of drinking/eating boba since I was a wee lad. So go check it out for yourself and see if you like it. You probably won't be disappointed.
