  • Stopped in this store to look at recliners. Wound up finding a complete living room set that we liked that had been clearanced. We tried to put it through on credit and had a problem. The salesman spoke up and said we could use their 4 month layaway (this worked better for us anyway). We gave them a deposit and left the store. This was Dec 23 2013. the day after Christmas we received a call saying we had to have our furniture out of the store by Dec 31 or we would have to pay full price. The girl said this information came from California. I told her we had already made an agreement of 4 months lay away....didn't matter. I tried to get a hold of the store manager and he never returned my calls. Salesman who made the deal told us the same thing. Managed to get our deposit back and told them to keep the furniture. I also tried contacting "corporate" in California and was informed they never heard of this store. The staff in this store is really odd and their practices are illegal. It would be like me going to Walmart and buying something for $20 and afterwards they raise their price to $25 and call and tell me I have to come back and give them another $5.......ridiculous!!!
