  • Sadly, I had to bring my 13 year old Bichon who had lung cancer here on June 11th because he was having difficulty breathing. Concerning even more is the fact that his chemo vet in Phoenix actually delivered him to me in that condition a few hours earlier without it raising her eyebrow. I thought he was just choking himself to get out of there.... after we got home and it continued - I realized there was a problem. "Hind sight" she said this morning... "hindsight, she should have taken xrays when I said he was coughing so much". Perhaps "hindsight" will save her next patient. But the ER in Peoria made up for the "VET SPECIALIST" he was seeing. They were fast getting him in... gave him something to relax him...did the xray and a test for Valley Fever. Of course, I hoped for the latter. Alas it was not meant to be and I did not allow my boy to suffer. I wish ALL vets in Arizona were as kind, caring, competent and cost effective as the ER in Peoria. I am so consumed with grief at the loss of my boy..he fought so hard...but they made it a bit better.... I thank them for not allowing my boy any more pain and I most certainly thank them for being the type of professionals that actually cared about practicing medicine and NOT just worried about their banker's hours and money.
