Edit 2018: Upgrading from 2 to 4. Looking back, it wasn't that bad. If a friend were looking for an apartment I wouldn't mind pointing them here. With apartments, it's always going to be YMMV based on your neighbors and the current management they have.
Pros:
- Summerlin
- When the water heater and fridge broke, they were able to replace it the same day on both occasions.
Cons:
- We pay near $100 extra for W/S/G and HOA's (yes HOA's in an apartment)
- Dog poop. Everywhere. Not just the grass. Sidewalks. Combination of lazy dog owners and lazy management. Management won't be bothered with refilling doggie stations or adding a new one for $50. Seriously, use some of that $100 HOA's you collect from everyone and buy a doggie station. And you won't have dog poop everywhere.
- Some maintenance requests get ignored, you have to be adamant about following up on them and they'll be completed.
