| - I'll say what I said about the CL store in the Venitian. If I'm going to spend over a thousand on shoes I want to feel like I'm spending over a thousand on shoes, not like an overcrowded Payless at Christmas. If you are dying for the Payless experience go to this location!
Firstly, super small. Pun intended, it is way too small for the amount of foot traffic for the 98% of people ogling and not buying. I literally ran here for my first pair a few years ago when I found out they received their twice per year classic black pumps. I had to have them! I already knew they had my size and I told them I was coming at that moment. (Granted, in their defense they probably hear that a lot). I did show less than 20 minutes later and was still treated rudely, had less than mediocre service, which almost completely ruined my experience. Isn't great service part of the reason I went there in the first place!? Isn't that what we should all expect from a store that sells this caliber of shoe?
The only person who acknowledged me was the stock boy! I don't know if he is still there or not but I hope he is because he was amazing! Once I finally tried on my shoes and said I was buying them, the lady (who was also the manager, a rather portly lady who has been there for years and is as of a week ago) got a tad nicer now that she knew I was actually buying something.
There was no dust bag in my shoe box and she seemed very annoyed when my husband reminded her there should be one in the box. I'm sorry, was the $1200 not enough for a dust bag?
The second time I went was because sadly, they didn't have what I wanted at the other CL location in the Venetian. That was unfortunate because Id have much rather given them my business. I found a great pair of shoes that were on sale the day before at this location and someone forgot to take them off the shelf so they had to sell them when I wanted them. I tried them on, yes they were a teeny bit large. Yes, I still wanted them. 50% off people! That's what those heel pads are for and the same lady actually tried talking me OUT of buying them! Who does that? "They are obviously too big for you" and proceeded to take the box. I'm not exaggerating when I say these shoes were not that large on me or I wouldn't have bought them. As this was my second time with this rude woman I had to tell her, "well they are my feet and I want them." Since when does a customer have to insist on what they want? Again, I almost didn't get my dust bag.
The third time this past week was sadly, the worst time of them all. I've always seen quite a few people there which makes sense considering how busy that mall is but I mean it was like elbow jabbing busy. Asinine. They can't control how many people go obviously, but that doesn't mean you should be rude... Yet again to people. Get a bigger store to accommodate the amount of people! I didn't find anything I wanted this time and headed to the other CL. The heavy set, curly haired manager was still there at the Fashion Show Mall btw. If you want a great shopping experience do not let her help you, if she even does.
If you prefer being treated like Cinderella, shop at the Palazzo. If you prefer being treated like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, go to the Fashion Show Mall. I even tested it. I purposefully wore my Christian Loubitins this time to the Fashion Show store and barely got an eye for service in my direction until she noticed I already owned a pair. It's a shame they don't work on commission or she would've gotten a "big mistake" from me while holding my bag from CL from the other store and Jimmy Choos as well. Yes ma'am. I went to buy shoes. You should've treated me as such and maybe I would've. Sad. :( my advice, go to the Palazzo location. The selection is larger, the store is larger and quieter, and the people are always amazing. They went out of their way to help me last time and I didn't even find anything which was a shame because hands down I would give them my business again and again over the Fashion Show Mall location any day. I know this is a long review for a shoe store, but it is years in the making and well deserved after multiple trips there.
