  • I had sworn off DT for too many reasons on too many different occasions. Got a flat on the way to work and as luck would have it, the only tire shops nearby were DT's. I know there was a blade from a razor knife sticking out of the tire. It was far enough in from the shoulder so it depended on how the inside looked, how much it had actually penetrated. I dropped the rim and tire off at DT and went to work. I got a call about an hour later saying it couldn't be fixed and that I was in for a new tire. When I arrived at the store around 4:30, I asked to see the old tire and was told it was not on site. Their tire disposal company had already picked it up. Based off my past experiences with different DT's, I would have much preferred to see the tire for myself, and possibly keep it... I live in S Phoenix, there are shops down there that right or wrong could have made a patch work well enough so that I could have gotten a rim for it and had a full size spare instead of the temporary spare that came with the truck. How do you dispose of a part before the customer has a chance to see it? Did I get ripped off? I don't know because I never had the chance to see the damage myself.
