  • This isn't the fanciest of hotels, but it certainly isn't the Ritz either. Considering this is a very business driven area of town, there is a high percentage of professionals in the area, and a lot of the hotels are geared towards travelers. Such was my case as well. I came in and met my BF who happened to be in town for business, and I flew in for an exam I needed to take. It happened to be nice that we coordinated the nights so we could stay the same nights. We had a king bed room on the 6th or so floor which was pretty spacious but nothing fancy. There was a standard issue desk and chair, mini fridge, and your buttery soft white linens. Bathroom was nothing special but clean and enough towels for an army which was a nice change of pace. Our window overlooked the Charlotte skyline which was pretty nice-I appreciate a good view instead of a view of a wall or an alley. We did have some obnoxious neighbors that were causing a ruckus around 6am which was really amplified since we had connecting room doors. I'm fairly certain it was a bachelor(ette) party, but one swift phone call to concierge sent someone up to shut them up. That was well appreciated. One thing that is certainly well appreciated and harder to find nowadays is COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST. Hampton and some Marriotts will still comp breakfast, and honestly it's the second B in "Bed and BREAKFAST" which honestly all hotels should be. The coffee cups are actually really cute too, with funny mustaches and the collars have bow ties and necklaces. The selection was pretty good, with hot options like the Belgian waffle maker and eggs as well as quick options like bagels and yogurt. I grabbed a few things for later :) The hotel staff were pretty easy to work with and made checking out a breeze, folio was emailed and we didn't need to check out at the desk to get an expense report. The parking was a giant pain in the ass here though-we ended up circling the garage for a while to find what seemed like the last spot in the place. Seemed like all the spots were taken by employees rather than guests. I would take this into account if trying to park here. All in all, not a bad place to crash for the night.
