Having never been to Troy Hill, let alone Scratch I was excited to venture over the river and up the hill.
The food was a sampling of some of their menu, small perfect sized tasters. Two cocktails were prepared for us Yelpers and they were DELICIOUS. I very much loved the second one with lavender and the oak gin.
The food was very very good. I will most definitely be back to try their full menu.
It was great to hear about their choices to go with locally sourced food and liquors. I had a good time talking the Christian who was their "supplier/hook up" for the PA sourced booze!
We choose to purchase an extra cocktail.
I got the Not So Basic Betch cocktail which was some graveyard sam's young rye, blockhouse pumpkin simple syrup, snap liqueur, & allspice dram. It was AWESOME. Stiff yet inviting.
My fiance got the Kombucha Lucha, which was ginger hibiscus kombucha, lemon, wigle smoke bourbon, honey simple syrup. He LOVED it. I even tried it (i hate kombucha) and found it quite palatable.
We will most definitely be back to harass the staff and eat until our stomachs explode.
