  • Discovered this pour over coffee stuff while on a trip in Chicago...I was highly doubtful whether Cleveland would ever latch on to something so new and trendy. Thankfully, Yelp said Cleveland had a pour over coffee destination at Rising Star! This is just the right name for such a coffee shop. It's in the boonies of the OC, where I'd never have thought to venture, but I am sure glad that I did. It's in a garage, basically. There are also a few other businesses in the same building. How great would it be to have this place just downstairs from me while I'm at work? I would be forever greatful. Had the Kenya. Black. I never had a black coffee in my lifetime before trying this pour over coffee. And, despite your assumptions, it was FANTASTIC. No cream or sugar needed, thank you. Coffee at its simplest and most flavorful. What a lovely establishment, and just the kind of place I'd like to be on a sunny day. And even more perfect- a photo gallery right across the street (which is mainly unlabeled, btw) to bring your fresh coffee to and sip on while you peruse through the featured selections. Will be back fo' sho!
