Originally contacted him on the first of March. I left a voicemail and never heard back. I called again on March 7th, and Jeff made an appointment with me for the 12th. He came out and spent about 4 minutes looking at my fence which is need of quite a bit of repair, as I indicated in my voicemail, as well as when I spoke to him on the phone. I also text messaged him my details, as per his request. He promised to work up a price for repairs and get back to me, but he did not. On the 20th I followed up with a text message asking if he intended to price my job or not. On the 22nd I followed up with another text message asking him to be professional and respond either way, to which he indicated my job was not for "a fence guy" and was work for "a handyman." Whatever that actually means is beyond me.
I do NOT appreciate having 3 weeks of my time wasted by anyone. I shouldn't have to work this hard to get a response. Other professionals will now be booked up for the spring, and I will be hard pressed to find anyone reputable to fix my fence. Would not recommend wasting your time if you don't want to drop thousands on a new fence. He's apparently too good and too busy for small jobs that only take a day or two.
The bottom line is that I was upfront with what I needed and he failed to be upfront with me. I'm now in a worse position than I was before I called him, which is immeasurably poor way to handle business.
