I had been craving taco guild for the past few weeks since I moved to AZ a few weeks ago. A place that I had loved the few times before gave me the late night dinner munchies.
When my husband and I arrived we were seated immediately. It was happy hour so we were a little surprised. Our waiter was amazing- very attentive and friendly.
Chips were good but the salsa was too hot- something I never complain about but whatever, I kept eating anyway.
I ordered the beef enchiladas. Wow, bland bland bland. The red sauce was unedible, in fact, I scrapped it off and was surprised to find that the beef was unflavorful. The red beans on the side were ok but questionable. The only good thing about the plate was the side of rice.
My husband had the tacos. He had the shrimp, coffee braised beef and the chicken tacos with the side of red beans. He didn't seem to complain about his plate as much as he did the beans. He did make a comment about the smell of the beans but I'll save you the graphic detail.
I did enjoy 2 of the happy hour margaritas but mostly because I wanted the taste out of my mouth. Can't say I'll be running back to the guild anytime soon.
