| - I'm not a big meat-lover, but went a couple of times because I enjoyed the night-time ambiance. Enjoyed sitting at the bar, had good service, but because the menu is so meat-heavy (naturally, not a complaint), I had decided not to go there again.
However, I had recently looked at the Brunch menu, and thought it looked really inviting. Friends from Boston were visiting, so I took them this past Sunday. The atmosphere is definitely sexy and lovely at night, but during the day, it was disappointingly loud and garish. We were sitting under some kind of woofer and the beat was so insistent and loud, we had to shout to be heard. We asked the server if the volume could be adjusted, but it was clear, from his response, and the fact that the music was coming from a DJ, that no one was going to do anything to lessen the noise. Most of the tables were filled with older people and you could tell we weren't the only ones wanting to escape the loud thumping. Come on, it's Sunday morning in Pittsburgh, not Friday night in South Beach. The food was mostly delicious but the atmosphere was so bad, we all agreed we would never do brunch there again.
