  • Another great experience.You can save a lot of money when you're the owner builder. But when your plans fall outside what the county calls "prescriptive norms" and you want windows that are 8' wide, sliding doors @16', and patio spans @24' to catch the unobstructed view, well, --you need an experienced structural engineer or an expensive architect to determine correct structural members, tiedowns and foundation design. I'm delighted with the work Jonathan did and how we sailed thru the permit process. He has proven essential to managing costs and peace of mind. All good.
