| - My wife and I have dined at this chain's Long Beach, CA location as well as the Tempe, AZ location. Based on those previous experiences we chose the Tempe location as the place we wanted to dine on our 45th wedding anniversary. Based on this most recent experience I don't think we will be back. First, we were both disappointed with the portion size. My wife ordered the grilled catfish and she was served 4-5 ounces of fish. Normally, one would think in terms of an 8 oz portion, especially catfish, which is one of the more common of fish. She thought it tasted OK, but just OK, nothing special. I ordered the ono, one of my favorite pacific fish, and I also got about a 5 ounce portion. It was good, but nothing special. The catfish was $17.50 and the ono was $20.75. Very skimpy portions for the price. There is a $1.50 extra charge of you want asparagus. That's a little high given that most grocery stores sell it for about that much per pound in season. My wife got about 6 stalks. For sides I chose mac and cheese and the corn. I got mashed potatoes and corn. The mac and cheese was promptly brought out when I noted the problem. It was good, but you only got about 4 ounces. The corn was so loaded with silk that it was barely edible. My wife said her mashed potatoes were good. The wine list was standard, nothing outstanding. Prices for wine were average$7.50 - $11.00 per glass for most choices. Service was OK, but just OK. The waiter did not seemed impressed with our response to his questions that we were celebrating our 45th anniversary. "Cool. I've been married ten years," he responded (at leasat he didn't say "Awesome."). Good for him. He never asked if we wanted a second glass of wine, which cut his tip, of course. He did come back once to ask if everything was OK. My wife questioned the size of her portion, but he just said that that was what the kitchen prepared. Tip and tax put us over $80 for just a so-so meal. I could not recommend this restaurant.
