I feel like a victim of a crime, not a customer. I started with DirecTV on an offer to charge $19.99 per month for 12 months. At the end of the first 12 months, the charge would go to $49.99 for 12 more months. They would send a $200 VISA gift card and that would make the service net out at $26.66 per month for the 24 month period.
Instead, DirecTV raised the bill at the end of the calendar year to $51.99 (after only 6 months) and never sent the $200 VISA card. I called their 800# and of course it was a foreign country. The person spoke English, but did not understand or did not listen to what I had to say or ask, instead just read from a script.
Next time I will go on Yelp and read some of the feedback reviews before signing up for something and never believe a DirecTV scam again. Looks like DirecTV has scammed a lot of people to earn mostly 1 star reviews. Maybe the attorney general of AZ should look into their unusual business practices.
