  • I really enjoy Mexican food, unfortunately rancho does not live up to expectations. We went there because several Yelpers rated it pretty high and were in the neighborhood. But I have to say, I've had much better. The good: the staff were friendly and the service was prompt. The meh: In general I'd say the food was average. Certainly not exceptional or even particularly flavourful (in fact most of what we had was plain ol' bland). The bad: Mexican mice were at best "grocery store jalapeno poppers". Very disappointing. The "cheese" filling tasted like cheese-wiz, the mice themselves were only luke-warm and the batter/breading was completely uninteresting. Definitely won't be back.
