  • My husband and I purchased two dogs from Pet Pros; a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (we named him "Charlie"-how original, right?) in 2006 and a Japanese Chin (we named him "Mochi"-a reference to a Japanese dessert) in 2007. Charlie was about 7 weeks old when we bought him but Mochi was considerably older, I believe he was already 4 months old. We fell in love with both of them immediately. Fast forward to 2010. One day, I was about to let my dogs in after they had taken care of business and I saw something strange on Charlie's underside, near his boy parts. When I looked closer, I was horrified to see that it literally appeared as though HIS INSIDES were coming out! The only way I can describe it is that it looked like his intestines were partially coming out! We rushed him to the vet and he underwent surgery. To this day I have no idea what happened and why. Now on to Mochi. Mochi begins to exhibit the craziest behavior!. He would be in his crate and walk in continuous circles; maybe 5 loops in a row. He wouldn't do it all day, but he would do it at least 3 times a day. After reading the most recent articles regarding the closure of Pet Pros; I am wondering if Charlie's medical issue and Mochi's behavior are as a result of where they had come from and how Pet Pros obtained them. In any case, although I used to enjoy stoping in there to play with the puppies, I have to agree with many of the other reviews that this place has truly gone to sh*t. Literally! The last time I went in there, the place stunk! The puppies were stepping in their own feces and the glass in front of the kennels was filthy. Meanwhile, the employees were too busy interacting with one another. Instead of chatting, they should have used their time to clean. Then possibly the store wouldn't have been shut down.
