WARNING: MRSA HERE! My husband got antibiotic resistant staph (MRSA) at this facility while undergoing rotator cuff surgery here. Within a week he had to have emergency surgery to remove the screws and undo the rotator cuff repair. Followed by a hospital stay and nearly two months of vancomycin with need of home health in our home to deal with the dressings etc.
Since the home health fiasco, he has been in and out of hospitals approximately every four to six months with severe illness, spiked blood pressure, delirium, and out of control sugar. No doctor at any of the local hospitals has accurately diagnosed the problem each time--we firmly believe it is the staph trying to recur and manifest physically. We have been to four different ERs throughout the city to try to get better results.
It doesn't appear that this stuff ever fully goes away.
The hassles and hardships as a result have been endless and ongoing.
Go to PARKWAY SURGERY CENTER at your own risk. :(
