| - I haven't been this relaxed in months! My hubby and I just left after getting hour-long back massages. It was magic. We opted for private rooms. The bed was very comfortable and supportive, plus one thing that I liked very much: it was stable and wide. Why does that matter? I didn't feel like I was in fear for my life when it was time to roll over. With my chronic lower back pain, simple tasks such as flipping over can be less than graceful and require a little extra real estate to get the job done. The girl who worked on me was extremely polite and respectful. (I wish I asked her for her name, my brain was goo by the time she was done working on me so I didn't even think to ask.) She was a very sweet African American girl... seriously, I was too relaxed to even think to ask her name! That's how thorough she was. My tense areas of my shoulders and mid-back were concentrated on, and I didn't even have to mention that I wanted more work there... she was on it. She asked if the pressure was adequate a couple of different times, which was good because she didn't just assume the pressure was fine (I've experienced that from other individuals and while having a steam roller massage session can sometimes be what's needed, it's not always what feels best). She was very conscientious of my back pain, of what I had to say, and above all, didn't make me feel like I was just another customer to rush in and rush out. I truly felt relaxed.
The rooms were private (separated by curtains), the lighting was low and subdued, the music was familiar and tranquil. The entire place seemed to be very clean and orderly. The chairs that were set up for foot massages in the large common area looked to be very comfy, just like the tables were. As I was walking out, there were several people getting their feet done, each looking so relaxed, I swore I heard one snoring quietly!
They accept cash and cards (there is a $1 fee for using a card, no big deal at all).
