| - I had a wedding ceremony and reception October 8, 2016 at the Falls Event Center. This place is absolutely gorgeous, no doubt about that! The price I would say is a little much for what you actually get, they did work with my mom (whom paid for the venue) and gave her a great deal which included the bridal suit, the groom lounge, patio, reception room, kitchen and the main waterfall. They provided us with tables, chairs and linens. The venue does not provide any vendors at all, you provide everything including decorations.
I had an event coordinator named Meagan Gonzaga who planned everything out with me. Unfortunately when it came time for my rehearsal and actual event she was not scheduled to work. It was a bummer to me because she knew everything that was going on including all of my ideas. I worked with another lady for my rehearsal night, explained everything I wanted for saturday morning and that she would let my service staff know that was with us saturday morning (that did not happen), she was also not there on the day of my wedding. So 2 coordinators knowing what I wanted were not there to help.
Now my issue I had is that I had to have my wedding at 11 am, they only allowed us to show up at 9 am. 2 hours of getting ready... hello bridezilla! I was running late so I did not show up until 945 that morning so I did not have any time to speak with the staff servicing my wedding that day. They did not even bother to come find me and speak with me either. I had so much going on that it was kind of the last thing I thought about (tracking them down). I had to have my family, and bridal party track them down EVERY SINGLE TIME we needed something. The PA system being set up outside, moving the PA system back inside after the ceremony was over, setting up the projection screen and turning it on, and the lights were not even set up to match my wedding colors that i specified with my 2 coordinators. It became frustrating and I had to personally go to the office and ask what the heck was going on. I feel that it was very unacceptable and the answer I received was that "it was a crazy morning!" There was a celebration of life event going on in the same building that they seemed to attend to more than my wedding.
I brought this up to the attention of Meagan a couple days after and her response was "oh! I'm sorry!" Nothing more to follow up with it or anything. My mom, who payed for the venue, received an email from someone else saying they hope we had a great day and enjoyed the venue. They did not ask how it was or how everything went. I feel that the customer service definitely needs to be worked on and addressed because it is just not fair.
