| - I really wanted to love this place because it's close to where I live and the selection of classes is amazing. I walked in, and everything was hot pink (even the majority of the equipment), and the place was full of twenty-something women, and the receptionists were very sweet, and I thought "oh, yes!".
Alas, by the end of the class, I was feeling more like "ugh, no".
The change rooms are tiny and packed (no doubt a testament to how many women do love this place, even if I didn't). I apologized more times in that change room at ~6:30pm and ~7:30pm as I unwittingly tapped or swiped people than I had the entire week. It is nice they have lockers though.
The gym is set up into 3 studios, including 1 around the back with fitness equipment you can use if you're a member recreationally / geared towards small group training ("SGT" classes). I did a Pilates class in 1 of the main 2 studios as part of my ClassPass app, and you could hear the blaring music from the more "intense" studio that was down the lobby the entire time. Not very zen.
The instructor was covering the class, and she was great. Not super personalized or super into checking people's form, but quite loud and energetic. The gym provided all of the equipment. Herein lies my next concern: we were not asked to sanitize any of it. . . Yikes.
Overall, the workout was good, the space was cute, ladies seemed cool (a great place to take a friend to a class, for sure), but I can't get over the tiny change rooms or the questionable background of the mat I was on... Sigh. Perhaps better luck next time for me.
