rev:text	We stayed at the Hard Rock this past weekend...booked through Hotels tonight...got a decent rate. we were in the original (older) tower...i guess there are 2 newer towers... we were able to add a 2nd night (through hotels tonight) for about $50...not bad. Made it worth it so we could sleep in the next day (seeing that we got in the room at 6 am) at check in (we arrived at 11 am)..they let us check in immediately for $20. That kinda sucks since i figure if they have rooms ready they should just let us check in instead of nickle and diming us...oh well..we got into our room and got ready for our pool party at the MGM. room was fine...view of the pool...beds were comfy...badroom was nice.. rooms could have been cleaner (particles on the ground, major dust around the vents and I would not have touched that phone. they have free wifi and free calls...which i didn't use either...it was really just a place to sleep. we went to the lobby bar twice...first time had a fabulous drink..second time the same drink was quite bleh...and i noticed that the girl used some other vodka instead of the grey goose i had requested...she insisted she used grey goose but that's not what i saw with my own eyes. we left our drinks at the counter and walked away. so at 6 am when we walked into the room...the vent from the AC unit had fallen all over our suitcases! omg! we were incabable of doing anything at the time and went to sleep. talked to management after we woke up and they offered to upgrade us to a suite..but we booked and earlier flight and decided to go home... they couldn't refund since we booked through a 3rd party...so they said they would email us a voucher for a future stay...haven't received it yet...we will see. so pretty good hotel.. nice pool... rooms need renovation (which they said they are doing soon) front desk took care of business... bartender who switched out the vodka sucked.
