I can't say enough great things about Amey! She is fantastic! I got really sick and had to deliver my daughter 6 weeks early at 3 lbs 15oz (she is and was very healthy despite her weight). We worked on breastfeeding in the hospital a little bit with the nurses but ultimately I was told my daughter was to little to breastfeed and it burned too many calories. So I pumped and pumped for 3 months. I tried getting her back to the breast as she has been growing but I had no success on my own. After switching pediatricians and getting support and encouragement from my new pediatrician to breastfeed, I decided to keep trying. Amey works at my ob's office and I sent her a text one night asking her if it was even worth trying to breastfeed at this point- I just kept trying and failing with lots of tears from both me and my little. I was prepared for her to say no and then I would just continue to pump until my little is a year old. But Amey encouraged me that it was possible and came out the next day! She helped me with positioning and gave me lots of great info. Amey is so nice and so sweet and very easy to work with. She understands why women want to breastfeed and all the great benefits it is for the babies. I have been breastfeeding ever since she was out to my house, which was about 3 weeks ago. She followed up with daily texts to make sure we were still doing ok! I'll definitely have her out earlier with my next baby. Thank you so much Amey for your help!
