I have never been to the actual bakery, but I encountered the Crémy food cart at Place-des-Arts for the Juste pour rire festival.
I remembered those donuts from last year's festival. At that time, I sadly didn't have any money on me, but I made sure this year to bring some change (4$/donut).
I picked a vanilla and cookie donut. It was golden brown, very large, drizzled with sugar glaze and covered with a coarse crumble of chocolate cookies. It was scrumptious. In all honesty, it was the best donut I've ever had (I can't say that I'm a donut specialist, but hey - I love them).
The dough was surprisingly moist and dense, but not cakey and too sweet. Was it a brioche donut? I'm no pastry chef, but the delicious aroma of yeast and rich buttery flavor of the dough tell me that whatever Crémy do, they're doing it well.
Can't wait to make my way to the pastry shop!
