| - The reason for this low rating is the manager, and the low quality food. Our server/ bartender was wonderful and attentive, but unfortunately the poor management over shadowed. We arrived during their happy hour, so we understood it was busy, we asked to be placed on their wait list for when a table would be open and were told it would be an hour wait. We sat ourselves at the bar and ordered drinks and some appetizers. Their happy hour includes half-off cocktails and shareable appetizers (about 6 options, all fried). Happy hour does not include simple well drinks. 10 minutes later we saw two tables open that would accommodate our party of 5 and were told they were for reservations. Within several minutes a new group walked in and was asked if they had reservations and they responded no, and were seated in the table that could have been ours. Someone from our group went up to the host, who happened to be the manager, to ask if the other table would be available and that he saw this party with no reservation be seated and was told, with a heavy dose of attitude "Like I told you before it will be an hour wait". This is unacceptable. You do not pick and choose which clientele you wish to accommodate, which this restaurant did. As far as the food goes, very underwhelming bordering disgusting. The onion rings were undercooked with raw batter inside, the chicken bits were flavorless, the creamy potato soup was completely woeful and tasted closer to a cheap shellfish chowder. . In conclusion, avoid The fox and the fiddle.
