Born and raised in the 'burgh. Went to Kennywood all my life and it never gets old. We Pittsburghers have a park to be proud of. I would provide 5 stars if it weren't for one factor. My only suggestion for improvement is that the steak/sausage sandwich kiosk near the potato patch be removed. My dad and I recently went to the park for fright night and opted to split a "steak" sandwich with peppers, onions and cheese. Let me preface what I'm about to write by stating we all know park food is not good in terms of quality or nutrition; however, this "steak" sandwich was inedible. First, it was a ground mystery meat patty, not steak, which tasted and was textured like what I imagine canned dog food to be. Second, the bun was overly soft and virtually dissolved as soon as I bit into it. And finally, this was the kind of sandwich that creeps up on you in a gross burp 5 hours after eating. I now need to detox for a week for fear that the byproducts of this sandwich will deteriorate my body if not flushed out. I do not recommend and think that removing this kiosk would vastly improve the quality and experience of the park.
