Chou's Kitchen has an extensive menu of appetizers, entrees, soups, noodles and clay pots. Their dumplings (xiao long bao) are the real reason we chose to try Chou's in the first place, as those are pretty hard to come by in Arizona, and they're what keep us going back. The pork Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are hot and flavorful, filled with soup broth and meat. They're not the best XLB out there, but definitely a must-try and worth stopping in for, whether you're in Tempe or Chandler! We also ordered the beef pies and wanted to try an entree and opted for the orange chicken. The orange chicken was good, nothing too special, but the beef pies are amazing! They're served in threes and are juicy and bursting with flavor.
Their handmade appetizers are more than enough for a meal and they make for a great experience. Their prices aren't terrible and takeout is quick and easy if you aren't looking to dine in. Chou's Kitchen is definitely worth checking out and is our go-to for dumplings!
