| - Sunday morning and we woke up hungry on check out and we wanted to be in and out, so we opted for the buffet.
The tables in the middle of the lobby being surrounded by a fleury of dancers in a competition wasn't an ideal set up, but whatever.
When we sat down, we waited for about 10 minutes for anyone to come by and take our drink orders. Our actual server was no where to be found, but there were plenty other servers that were doing other busywork and walking by. It was far from packed in there, so it would have been simple for a server to get our drinks and then tell our server.
We finally gave up waiting, put our drink order on a piece of paper and headed to the buffet.
When we got back to the table, our drinks were on the table and our server had visited our table a few times after, almost to what seemed over compensation for having to write down our drink order.
The food was decent as far as buffets. No real complaints. Not rave worthy, but I'll mention it as decent f you asked me about breakfast buffets in Calgary.
When I go to a buffet, I do expect that the bill should handed to us in a reasonable amount of time, usually after the first plate. I shouldn't have to to track down the waitress to get it. It took 20 minutes to track down the waitress to get the bill and pay her. I get a waitress's timing can be off when serving tables, so I am willing to give that experience a pass.
