Walked in here a few months ago and requested a cut by someone who could cut baby fine hair. Way too many times I've had it all chopped up because people are used to thicker tresses. Got Deven as my cutter. I showed her a photo and she did a great job of cutting it and making me look much younger! Yay Deven!
I'm a professional woman. I can't have my hair look goofy, or have it look too weird from one cut to the next. That's why I was even cutting my own hair for several months because I've had bad experiences. I'm so happy to have found this wonderful, talented, powerful young woman to do my hair. Best part? She listens. I know my hair. I know it shrinks when it dries. Too many cutters insist on cutting it wet. I know that doesn't work. Deven gave me all the reasons to cut it wet, but in the end she listened and took care of me in a way that made me comfortable. Bottom line? I LOVE my hair! THANKS DEVEN!! I just went back for my second cut from her and I'm absolutely delighted.
So... I have a suggestion now for the owner. I have spent decades as a business consultant, many of my clients are retail. Please revisit your lighting strategies. It isn't just about - hey, we have lights. There's a right and a wrong way to do the lighting in any retail store - especially when it comes to women making decisions about returning.
I knew the lighting was bad, so I pushed past the way it aged me 10 years. But if you want people to return, if you want them to feel good about what's happening to their appearance, spend a little time and money fixing the way we feel at that "moment of truth." https://behindthechair.com/displayarticle.aspx?ID=1144 You'll be glad you did
