  • This is a nice looking store (just like everything else in the Cosmopolitan property) but I did not experience the great customer service that the other reviewers seem to have. I forgot my makeup bag on a trip to Vegas and I didn't want to have to deal with the mall crowds so I asked the front desk if there was a place in the hotel that I could get some cosmetics. When I found out about this store, I was thrilled! When I walked in, I was not acknowledged by anyone. There was a guy off to the side where they have salon style chairs (I am assuming they do makeup application there) but he didn't even bother to look up. There was only one woman in the retail area and she was talking to a couple of girls who were looking at nail polish so I patiently waited in the vicinity for her to finish; but after that she dashed off to another group of girls sampling perfumes in the back. I started looking around but I was not familiar with any of the brands they carry and since I basically needed everything, I was a little overwhelmed. They did have a large amount of products for sampling but there were no disposable tester brushes or applicators. So you basically had to use the same ones that everyone else had used. They all had a ton of product on them and it was obvious they hadn't been cleaned in a while. I am not a germaphobe but it was so bad you couldn't even really get the right color because there was a ton of different colors on there already. Also, apparently they keep the products in hidden drawers under the display/tester table so even when I did finally find something I wanted, I didn't know where to find a new one for purchase. After watching the woman greet every 20-something pretty girl who walked in the store without even a glance in my direction I walked over to her and asked if I could get some help. As we walked back to the table I had been standing at, I explained my situation and asked for her to help me get the basics I would need for the rest of the weekend. She had no suggestions or guidance, but said I should look around and let her know when I was ready to purchase something. I told her that I had found a mascara that I wanted to which she replied: "Yeah, thats not mascara, its eyebrow tint." "This?" I said, pointing to the tester. "Yeah," she said condescendingly "I saw you put it on your lashes but its for your eyebrows.". At this point I was so frustrated I just wanted to leave so I asked her to just get me some mascara and powdered foundation so I would at least have the basics. I told her whatever she recommended would be fine. Then she started grabbing different ones and holding them up to me and telling me the prices and then asking if I wanted them. Not telling me anything about the quality of the product or the colors or providing any suggestions on what would look good on me with my skintone or be beneficial for my skin type. No information whatsover other than the price. But that turned out to be a good thing because at that point I realized that I was about to spend a ton of money on makeup that I wasn't sure if I was going to like... from a woman that I was sure that I didn't like... and that was just dumb. So, I left.
