  • I love Belgian beer like it is going out of style, so The Malt House is my happy place. The fact that the bar is the Oldest Bar in Madison and has a history dating back more than 100 years only adds to the charm. The bartenders are always knowledgable and helpful. They have a rotating tap that always has great local beers and some hard-to-find American and Belgian brews. They also have an amazing array of whisky. Now, I love Malt House for what it is, but those looking for an upscale place where people will wait on you hand and food will be sorely disappointed. Expect a low-key, comfortable ambiance with a lot of people passionate about beer.
