| - You definitely WANT to like this place because it is cute and friendly, and darn it, the spot should be the place to meet! right? The menu consists of salads, sandwiches, and basic, simple american food. I was treated to lunch, so I wasn't paying attention to pricing, but about $9/sandwich w/fries before drink.
The first thing you notice is that this place is tiny, not the type of place you except in Gilbert. It would be normal in SF or NY size wise. So small that it makes it tight to get around the self-serve beverage section, the tables set up nearby, and the ordering counter. But the counter person was friendly and nice. I ordered the BLT, which came on Texas toast.
We sat outside, which was enjoyable. Maybe they can consider misters in the summer, or heaters in the winter along with a overhead cover or umbrellas? It is Arizona, so the weather isn't super ideal most of the time, and that would alleviate some of the tight seating indoors.
On to the food: it was brought out by one of the servers. Flavors were decent, and the BLT was hot. Bacon, bacon, delicious bacon. So hard to go wrong! Fries were thick cut steak fries, not what I expected, but crunchy and hot. We sat, ate, and talked for an hour and no one bothered us. Overall, cute, but rather expected american meal. Would be great if they had some daily specials that stepped outside the lines.
