Stopped by this place for a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Here's a few things that may help:
1. Pro-tip: Park in the garage right around the corner and GenuWine has a 2 hour validation card for you. Didn't know this initially and parked at a meter on Roosevelt.
2. Nice selection of reds/whites and anything that was almost empty was replaced immediately. Customer service was on point and the last ounce of a few bottles were given to the customers who had just gotten a glass of the same wine.
3. The music playing was late 90s/early 2000s upbeat stuff that most of their clientele will have grown up with. If I had a couple more glasses in me I would have had to break out the dance moves.
4. Staff is always there if you need something and are friendly/will chat with you but generally let you do your thing - in a good way. There's no pushy sales tactics to buy bottles and you aren't bothered a million times asking if you want another drink while you're trying to win your game of Sorry and your glass is still half full. Your wine, your rules, refill as you see fit or switch it up and grab something different.
5. A good amount of AZ based wine and food. I've only been here once but it'd be a nice concept if things were switched out seasonally to keep it interesting.
All in all this place was a 10/10 would return. This place is definitely not pretentious and offers a laid back feel of just spending quality time with friends enjoying good wine and food.
