Please beware of DirectTV. Ours has had severe problems since Nov. 2017. Apparently AT&T did an "upgrade" at that time and interrupted reception ever since. Now , not a day goes by without problems. I freezes, pixilated and simply shuts down. Have made numerous calls to customer service , had technicians out and nothing changes (this is in Scottsdale, Az.) Each time I speak with them, they say it is a software problem and the engineers are "working on it' . There is no timetable for resolution of the problem and this is a national problem. Now reboot many times per day to attempt to watch tv. Have never cared for cable tv, however, hove no choice - have to cancel and go to COX. Please beware of DIRECTTV, they have become very BAD!
