  • Me and my family took a trip to North Carolina back in 2013 to visit my sister but during our walk downtown, we went to the NASCAR Hall of Fame for a few hours. What an amazing place to visit if you love NASCAR. I have been a fan of NASCAR for years now, but sadly Jeff Gordon retired so I have to find a new favorite driver now. After paying and getting into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, right in the beginning they have a video portion (like 20 or 30 mins) to teach you the history about NASCAR and how it grew to today, then after that its all on your own and wander around. Sadly, food here kinda 'eh'. Its expensive and not many options. So if you didn't eat lunch, you might as well wait and eat somewhere downtown. They have a few attractions like going into a replicate pit stop, race against another team to change tires as fast as you can. And they have also have a iRacing Simulator. As stated above, one really cool thing about this museum is that there is a 'iRacing' Simulator. You can go inside a stock car, take control of simulator, and race against other people that are also in the other near by simulators. They project the gameplay on a huge screen so your family members or other people can see who's in first place, a crash, or even just for enjoyment. Only flaw is that people will crash into you if you are first, so you basically have to out maneuver opponent's. Or else you will crash, get in last place and get mad at the jerk who crashed into me. Kinda like what I did.
