I only chose one star because I can't pick a lower value. I write this review not only to complain about how my daughter's birthday present and my mother in law's sneakers were stolen from our room, but how God awful the customer service is when I brought up the issue. "I don't know" is not a valid response when I've just finished informing you there has been a theft. These exact same words were parroted by the manager - yes, the MANAGER. You apologize, you sympathize, you compensate if possible. Don't avoid your customer completely when something like this happens. Oh, and i'd appreciate a comforter on my bed after housekeeping goes through their rounds. Last I checked, a single sheet without a comforter/blanket doesn't cut it. Now I've been to DoubleTrees before that are top notch, but this one is flat out busted. Ugly, dirty hotel and horrid customer service. With the exception of Ronnie who works the front desk (a warm delightful fellow) that entire hotel needs to revamp their customer service model pronto. Cross this one off your list, and if you absolutely must stay there, lock up your valuables - trust me.
