The exam was fine, and people were kind. However, the optical technician did not have my consent to dilate my eyes and told me he was doing so after putting the drops in my eyes. This typically requires written consent. My other piece of information for those seeking a routine eye exam here is that the charges are quite hefty and my insurance (AVESIS) typically gives me $130 toward contact lenses, but due to their 75 dollar fee (on top of my normal exam fee and copay) I was only given 55 dollars toward lenses. This seemed over priced to me and made it so I paid much more out of pocket for my contact lenses.
