  • My wonderful new dentist! This holistic dentist is in network for my insurance! Dr. Michael Bell and his staff are very caring and no stone was left unturned. I had sent over my previous X-rays from prior dentist (they are not in network and it was costing us a lot of money to see them twice a year). New patient paperwork is online and was simple to fill out. Location is easy to find and my appointment involved zero waiting and zero rush. You are definitely not a number here. After initial meeting handshake and intro Dr. Bell got to business walking through my new patient paperwork, previous dental X-rays and health and lifestyle questions. I was pleased that he had zero complaints about my plant based lifestyle (some DDS and MD's don't understand or are against or question it) I explained how I had complete mercury removal from my previous dentist and he complimented me on having such few filings in the first place. I am proud to say at almost 40 I have never had a cavity but just old spot fillings where my teeth came in having a few holes. Defiantly something to take pride in! Dr. Bell does preform mercury removal of patients would like to have that performed. Although it is not covered by insurance and can be costly it is defiantly worth the money to invest in your health. Speaking briefly about diet, workout routines, and TMJ he made me feel at ease with his calm demeanor and encouraging words. I have had TMJ all my life and didn't even know he was a specialist until I got there. I am not an extreme level but a few family members have popping and locking issues. I thought it was super cool he took a sample of gum bacteria and showed me on the microscope what is partying in my mouth :) as a former premed cytotech student I totally geeked out on this part. I crossed my fingers for zero spirochetes and my wish came true. A clock hand or two he was not concerned about :D Dental hygienist only assists Dr. Bell and he actually did the cleaning and polishing himself! I had a clean bill of health yesterday, two specks of plaque, zero cavities and great flossing and brushing review...I shall see Dr. Bell in six months for another cleaning :)
