  • LA Fitness is a poorly run and unprofessional business. You can sign up online, manage your account online, and even update your credit card information for your billing if you get a new card. The one thing you cant do online or over the phone is cancel your said membership. This business tactic is designed to simply increase the difficulty in canceling your membership in order to squeeze as much money out of their customer base as they can. Your only cancellation options are to go into the club where a manager will suck your soul fucking dry trying to get you to stay for an hour or more, or print and mail a letter in. There is not one modernized business that will allow you to signup, pay, and update billing online but doesn't provide the option to cancel or adjust your membership. They wont even let you fax in your cancellation letter, it must be sent via post office. I was actually considering rejoining when I returned from overseas because the gym itself isn't bad. However I just cant justify giving money to a company with such low integrity.
