| - Voted #1 food market by National Geographic? Wait, NatGeo doesn't just cover animals mating and small indigenous tribes? I was stopping over in Toronto and the foodie in me was already scouring the vendor directory and reading about the best eats here.
Food:
-Pierogies from European Delight: These are like the Eastern European version of an Asian dumpling and they were cheap! You can also mix and match, so I tried veal and potato cheddar. They will heat them up for you and add sour cream if you want, which you want. The veal pierogies reminded me of beef stroganoff, and the potato cheddar ones were very comforting!
-Veal sandwich from Uno Mustachio: I had read about this on many blogs, so maybe my expectations were too high. Was it a good sandwich? Sure, but it wasn't the best sandwich I had ever eaten. Definitely get onions and jalapenos if you like things spicy!
-Brownie, cheesecake, and Portuguese egg tart from Eve's Temptations: The egg tart had a good crust to it and you can definitely taste the vanilla in the filling. The peanut butter brownie could've been more moist and I'd pass on the cherry cheesecake (too much artificial cherry).
The upper level is cute and is what you'd imagine a food hall to look like; however, the lower level feels like I'm in an old, outdated basement. I expected there to be more foods that would entice me, but some parts of it just felt more like a food court. It's a nice stop to appease multiple eaters in your group, but I wouldn't say this is the #1 food market I've been to.
