  • I chose these guys because they seemed to have excellent reviews. AJ seemed very knowledgeable and anxious to help. In the beginning, everything went well. I was very pleased with the installation and the equipment they recommended for my home theater system. I had an in-ceiling surround speaker system installed along with satellite speakers in another room and a pair of outdoor speakers on the patio. The speakers are all first-rate and sound great. They also recommended a new Denon receiver and a sub-woofer which I am also very happy with. But they sold me on an expensive ($300) wireless universal remote which never worked right from day one. I had them come out and reprogram it and they told me they replaced it. But when I noticed that there was a scratch on the "new" one that EXACTLY matched the scratch on the "old" one, they admitted that they HAD NOT replaced it, and that I would have to take up the problem with the manufacturer. To make a very long (and frustrating) story short, I found out from the manufacturer that the remote Lanza sold me had already been sold to another customer TWO YEARS prior, and that the manufacturer didn't even make that model anymore. It had been registered to another owner and because it was so old, it was out of warranty. When I contacted Lanza, they gave me the brush off and became very rude to me over the phone. I never got anywhere with them, and finally ended up going to Best Buy to get a new remote (for less money) and had the geek squad come out and program it. It works fine now. No thanks to Lanza. What started out as a great relationship soured quickly. I am now moving and need to find someone to install a home theater system with new speakers in my new home. I won't be calling Lanza... Integrity and customer satisfaction are EVERYTHING in my book. AJ and Scott, you missed the boat on this one.
