My wife and kids love watching "Cake Boss" and I usually always stay at Venetian/Palazzo so when I heard Buddy opened up a restaurant there I knew I had to go. They had only been open about 10 days or so when my friends and I went so I did take that into consideration when writing this review. Upon entering the restaurant I felt that the decor was quite nice. They have framed family photos all around the walls which gives it a "homey" feel. Even though some of the prices may be creeping close to fine dining prices the cuisine is not fine dining (which I like btw). The whole table had the Jersey City style fried Mozzarella, margarita pizza, chicken parm, warm nutella cake, and XL lobster tail dessert. I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella as it was not breaded like traditional fried mozzarella but rather sandwiched between two prices of bread. The pizza is nothing special to me and did not stand out compared to the same style of pizza at other restaurants. The chicken parm was a good portion which came with pasta that really did taste homemade. My friends thought the Lisa's warm nutella cake was the best dessert they have had in their lives! The service was spoty and our waiter would be gone for long periods of time but the busboy always made sure we had what we needed. I chalk that up just to being a new restaurant.
