| - I have never experienced an expedient elevator ride at any Westin. With that said, the concierge lounge makes up for the cons. The lounge is wonderful, and I wish every Westin still had one. The food served here during breakfast and dinner are impressive. Cereal, bacon, sausages, bagels, bread, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice, oatmeal. It's too bad I discovered breakfast on my last day here! I also love the charcuterie items laid out during the evening hours and could honestly just dine on wine and snacks in the lounge.
What really won me over is the room layout. Maybe my opinion isn't too holistic though since I stayed in an executive suite. The view of downtown, minimalist feel, and living/study room design--which induced a more comforting vibe than the Marriott rooms--appealed to me!
For the young crowd, The Westin would be more ideal than other hotels nearby.
