Welcome to 1971. This place has been stuck in a time warp for the last 45 years. That being said, they know how to cook proteins. I had the Osso Buco and it was done perfectly...hot all the way through and tender as can be smothered in brown mushroom gravy.
Do not go here if you are looking for trendy gastropub fare with new fangled dishes and culinary creativity. Go here if you want and old style quiet meal with friendly service. There are lots of upscale menu items like beef wellington and lobster. The salad bar is weak at best. The imitation bacon bits are a real downer. It would be easy not to like this place, but they can cook good old style food. I am conflicted and don't really know how to rate a place that doesn't really fit into any recognizable category of restaurant. This place is just different. Try it and see if it works for you. Maybe, maybe not.....
