I'm still annoyed about our wait. When you quote someone a wait time, your estimate should at the very least be within a ten minute window, not over three times as long as your quote.
They also ran out of potted bread that day, which I was excited to try after reading other Yelp reviews. Our server told us that it would be another half hour wait for that menu item. Obviously, since we waited over an hour doe our table, I passed.
That being said, the food and service here were both excellent. I had the chilaquiles, and my boyfriend opted for a standard breakfast dish with pancakes and bacon with eggs. Both dishes came out hot and delicious and in a prompt manner. While I'm glad we stayed to try this place out, I really do think the door staff could use some training on estimating wait times. Even after I complained to the hostesses that we had waited for over an hour, a manager never spoke to us to apologize. As I've worked in the industry for over fifteen years, I thought this was pretty unacceptable.
