| - I came in here on a business trip to Cleveland, so it was my first (and, after my experience, ONLY) time at Koffie Cafe.
First: lame name, but whatever.
Second: awkwardly small and awkwardly empty (I wonder why?), but not a deal-breaker.
The deal-breaker was the barista. She was just plain rude. As a first time customer I asked a simple question about the menu, and she was very snippy. When I asked about the hot tea and how that process works (do I need to pick out the tea bag when ordering, or can I peruse them?), she was also extremely rude. Then, god forbid, I forgot to get something on my order--you would think she would be happy I was buying more food (plus, I had already given her a 25% tip on what was a very small, simple order), but she was really upset then and told me to read the signs in the restaurant more carefully next time. I told her I was a first time visitor and apologized, but she came back with another snippy remark.
Overall, I felt not welcome at all. In fact, I felt that my very presence as a customer was personally bothering her. The experience sucked and I wished I could have taken back my 25% tip after how she treated me.
