Precious restorations cares about the work they do and it shows. I got the opportunity to meet the owner and view some of the finished pieces as well as some of the works in progress. The owner take much pride in his work and the fact that he is doing an "emotional" service for people by way of preserving such important artifacts for people. He stated that the best part of his job was seeing the happiness and sometimes tears of relief when a customer came to retrieve an item that they thought was ruined forever. The craftsmanship and ingenuity in the process shows as some of the processes used are pure genius. You would be hard pressed to see any of the actual repairs as the finished pieces look seamless and perfect. The before and after photos blew my mind. There is also a show room with beautiful pieces and jewelry for sale so be prepared to leave with a unique item or two. Definitely worth the trip in if you are in town or if you have an heirloom or irreplaceable piece that is damaged or in need of a little TLC. From paintings, to pottery, to furniture and beyond, the variety of items they can restore are impressive.
