| - Recently dropped a watch off at this store for repair. No complaints about the actual work the folks at Morris provided, but the customer service was perhaps the worst I have experienced in a very long time - particularly from an older African American woman behind the counter. She was rude, impatient and seemed as though she would have rather been anywhere on earth besides there helping me on a random Monday afternoon. Granted, this was the day Hurricane Irma rolled through Gastonia and perhaps the barometric pressure had everyone a bit sideways, but if this is her typical demeanor, I suggest she consider work elsewhere. Definitely not the customer service industry. Unfortunately, there does in fact, seem to be a trend with her as we were greeted with the same lackluster service upon pick up of the watch a week later (she literally turned her back as we entered the store without any sort of welcome at all....not a hello, not a may I help you...nothing). A gentleman, who I presumed to be the store owner, did provide a bit of service recovery after an agonizing initial encounter with Ms. Congeneality, for which I was grateful. I am a huge supporter of the "shop local" concept and will continue to be, but will always except common courtesy in return. If you visit Morris Jewelers and happen upon this particular saleslady, hopefully you'll have a much better experience.
