I first starting shopping here in Feb. of 2015 when they were doing a renovation. Due to the construction they had a lot of great deals on. I suppose for the inconvenience of the odd drill noise. It did not bother me and it became my regular go to spot.
Since then the renovation has been completed and the store looks phenomenal. Other then the Loblaws in the old Maple Leaf Gardens it is arguable the most ascetically designed shop in the Toronto. Unfortunately corporate must want to pay off the renovation as quickly as possible because not only have those extremely great deals that the renovation brought disappeared, but any deal at all seems to be non-existent.
The meats and and seafood sections have interesting stuff but even the "daily specials" are drastically over priced. I would like to see more ethnic options in the grocery ails but it is quite well stocked. I do not mind paying a premium for quality food but currently this store crosses the line. I hope in a couple months the prices will stabilize back to competitive rates as I do enjoy going to this location.
