The worst car rental experience I've ever had!!!! First off, since the rental office locates out of the airport very inconveniently, their shuttle had to pick me and my girlfriend up which took twenty minutes to show up even though it literally took 2 minutes to take us to the office (we arrived at Toronto airport @2 a.m. we were so exhausted and other car rentals were closed otherwise we would've changed our minds if we had any other options). Secondly, although we had made a reservation from a month ago to not confronting any issues they had run out of cars (I barely think they know what's the meaning of reservation!!!) and asked us to sit in the really low end office until someone returns a car. We even asked to give us a ride to the hotel and keep us posted on any car arrivals but the rude/inconsiderate/irrational upsell refused and didn't even try to assist at all. Luckily one guy returned his car after 1 hour waiting which was an unclean huge sedan (what we had reserved was economy) with lots of dents and wheels screech. We obviously accepted to use the car since were passing out of tiredness and the upsell mandated us to choose one of the insurances while we were bargaining on the price both my girlfriend and I heard something about ~290 CAD and we signed the contract (the final price was never mentioned anywhere on the agreement).
Drama was not over!!! We had another tragedy on car return. Another guy was there when we returned the car back. Unexpectedly he said the contract is open and you should pay 429 CAD but if you are willing to pay in US dollars it would cost 280$. I did a quick math even with 1.3 exchange rates to find out why there is this noticeable gap but he said "we charge 40% more than exchange rate based on our policy". We could have rented a drama-free & cheaper price car from other well-known car rentals and avoiding this extortion.
